matthew paul olmos currently teaches at the Playwrights' Center,  Primary Stages Marvin and Anne Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA)Stephen F. Austin University, and UC Santa Barbara. 

He can also be found teaching at the Dramatists Guild Institute, The Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive, and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. .

He has previously taught, run workshops, or guest lectured at Duke University, New School University MFA Program, Portland Center Stage, Riverdale Country SchoolRutgers University, SUNY Purchase, University of Baja California in Tijuana, México.
